Privacy and evidence storage

Optional native Android call syncing requires separate approval. When enabled, recent call numbers, cached caller names, timestamps, durations, and call types, including personal calls, are uploaded to private account storage. These calls are not automatically published or classified as spam. The private history shows the latest 90 days; older rows are removed on the next sync. Disconnect and delete history on the Private call history page to revoke a phone’s upload key and remove its stored calls. Call audio and address-book contents are not uploaded by this feature.

Call-evidence entries are first stored on the user’s device for offline use. Private account backup is a member benefit and does not begin until an active member deliberately enables it while signed in. When enabled, the evidence fields the member entered are stored with the member’s account identifier so they can be restored on another device.

Screenshots are uploaded only when you choose Attach screenshot. Original image bytes are stored privately with the filename, size, upload time, and SHA-256 fingerprint. Signed-in ownership checks protect downloads. Deleting the associated record removes its attachments.

Contribute number + classification is a separate choice. It shares only the displayed number and call classification for aggregate patterns visible to signed-in users. Notes, screenshots, and identity claims are not shared. Contributions can be withdrawn. Reports do not establish caller identity because caller ID can be spoofed.

Optional voice answers use your browser’s speech recognition after your approval. The browser may process speech through its provider. SpamDam does not use this feature to record telephone calls. Importing a native JSON export is user-directed; raw phone-log sections and recordings are not automatically uploaded.

Users can export their local evidence or delete individual entries. Signed-in users with account backup enabled can use Delete All to remove entries from the device and active account storage. Record identifiers and deletion timestamps are retained to prevent an old device from restoring deleted evidence. Evidence remains stored until the user deletes it or requests account deletion. Spam Dam does not sell evidence or member information.

For membership accounts, Spam Dam may store the signed-in account identifier, email, display name, membership plan and status, evidence the member chose to back up, the PayPal payer email, purchase date, the final six characters of the transaction ID, and one-way hashes used to prevent duplicate payment claims. Manually submitted historical transaction IDs are hashed. Integrated checkout stores PayPal order, capture, and refund references privately so payments can be verified and refunds reconciled. Receipts are visible only to their account holder and the owner. Spam Dam does not store card numbers. PayPal processes payment information under PayPal’s policies.

Spam Dam records privacy-oriented funnel events such as page visits, installations, evidence saves, checkout starts, activations, document preparation, referrals, and sharing. Raw IP addresses are not stored; daily one-way visitor hashes are used for estimates, and the owner’s signed-in visits are excluded.

Membership and transaction-verification records may be retained while access remains active and afterward when reasonably needed for refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance. To request access, correction, export, or account deletion, email giostone78641@gmail.com.

Optional shared evidence — policy 2026-09-26-v1

The Connect shared evidence feature is separate from private backup and the older displayed-number contribution feature. Existing reports, phone history, screenshots and old contributions are not automatically enrolled. For each backed-up report, you choose up to ten callback numbers, email addresses, website domains or payment handles and explicitly approve matching under this policy. Do not contribute your own private contact information, passwords, security codes, or full financial account numbers.

SpamDam stores the selected values, your account identifier, the associated evidence identifier, your optional research choice, and the consent time and policy version. Matching compares normalized, exact values against other opted-in reports. Domain matching removes paths and a leading www; US/Canada ten-digit callback numbers receive country code +1. Use a country code for other phone numbers. Email local parts and payment handles retain their case. Normalization and incomplete inputs can cause missed or misleading connections.

Members may view only their own contributed details and a match count when at least three distinct accounts contributed a matching value. Repeated reports from one account count once. Counts do not identify verified people, establish independent corroboration, or prove wrongdoing. Notes, attachments, member identities and other members’ records are not exposed through this matching feature. A spoofed or reassigned number, shared domain or payment service can connect unrelated parties. Do not use a match to publicly accuse anyone.

A separate, optional checkbox permits future research totals containing no member identities or indicator values. Research exports and external researcher access are not available in this release. Matching consent does not authorize sending your private evidence to law enforcement, researchers, AARP or other partners. No external agency database is connected and no partnership or government endorsement is implied.

You may replace a report’s selected details and research choice or withdraw the contribution from Connect shared evidence. Withdrawal removes the active matching values and research permission while keeping the private source record. Deleting the backed-up source report also removes these contributions. Withdrawing this feature does not withdraw a separate older displayed-number contribution; use that feature’s withdrawal control as well. Consent and export audit records retain account and report identifiers, action, policy version and time, without the contributed values; entries older than 90 days are removed during subsequent sharing activity.

The evidence-packet download contains only your selected report, private notes, claimed identities, your contributed details and attachment metadata including file fingerprints. Review it before sending it yourself. Original files must be supplied separately. Downloading records an export event; it does not send a report or grant investigator access. Recipients may retain copies you submit outside SpamDam, which SpamDam cannot retract.

Material expansion of how existing evidence is used or voluntarily disclosed will require a new, clearly described choice before that use begins. Urgent suspected-scam payment assistance

The “I sent money” tool is available without membership or sign-in. It helps you contact your institution using a number you verify from your card, statement or official app, and prepare a factual request for fraud review, cancellation, recall, reversal, dispute or a hold where available. Describe accurately whether you authorized a payment but were deceived, did not authorize it, or are unsure.

Form details remain in the open page and are not sent to or saved by SpamDam. Copying and downloading puts a copy under your control; closing or reloading the page may lose the form. A call link opens your dialer. SpamDam has no bank-notification or fund-freezing connection. Nothing here confirms a report was submitted, a hold was placed, a dispute was accepted, or money was recovered. Only the institution or relevant authority can confirm its actions. Contact the institution promptly rather than waiting for a match or completing paperwork.

Terms of use

Members must submit truthful information and must not use Spam Dam to harass, threaten, impersonate, defame or knowingly accuse the subscriber of a displayed number without supporting evidence. Caller ID can be spoofed. Claimed identity and independently verified identity must remain separate.

Spam Dam is an evidence-organization and document-preparation tool, not a law firm, government agency, carrier or caller-identification authority. Templates are general information, not legal advice. Spam Dam does not decide whether a violation occurred, what damages are available, or whether a complaint, demand or lawsuit will succeed.

Members control whether information is copied, downloaded, filed, emailed or sent to another person or agency. Spam Dam does not automatically submit complaints or letters. Members must review every document for accuracy and recording/privacy compliance before using it. Access may be suspended for fraud, abuse, attempts to claim another person’s payment or conduct that threatens the service or its users.

Members may personally share Spam Dam with friends through social media, direct messages, email, text, QR code, phone, or face-to-face contact. Referral promotion must be truthful, relevant, and disclose any commission. Paid or boosted social advertising, influencer ad campaigns, bots, purchased contact lists, repeated mass posting, and unsolicited bulk messaging are prohibited. Spam Dam may void referral credit or suspend referral privileges for promotion that violates this rule.

Billing, renewals and lifetime access

Membership payments are available through SpamDam’s PayPal business link. Submit the PayPal receipt from your account for owner verification before paid access is activated. The business link alone does not automatically verify a payment. Existing memberships remain available. Sandbox tests do not create real charges or paid memberships.

Prices and the applicable access period are displayed before checkout. Monthly and yearly access are one-time payments and do not renew automatically. We do not create subscriptions or automatic-payment agreements.

“Lifetime” means access for as long as the Spam Dam service is operated and the purchased features remain technically available. It does not promise operation for the purchaser’s natural lifetime, perpetual hosting, or features that have not been released. Founding Friends keep the lifetime price and access they were originally offered while the service operates.

Refunds and failed activation

Accidental purchases qualify for a full refund when requested within 30 days. We also refund duplicate charges and purchases that failed to provide the paid access. Evidence retrieval and export remain available after expiration or refund. Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable consumer rights or PayPal dispute rights.

Security and incidents

Spam Dam uses signed-in account identity and server-side ownership checks for private account records. Members should protect access to their ChatGPT account and phone. If Spam Dam discovers a security incident affecting member information, it will investigate, contain the issue, preserve necessary records, and provide notices when required.

Policy status

These are operating beta policies and have not been represented as attorney-reviewed. They may be updated as payment providers, features, laws, and business organization change. Material changes will be identified on this page. Newly expanded uses of previously collected evidence will not be enabled merely by changing this text; applicable new consent must be collected first.
